Recreational opportunities abound at our parks. Activities are year round and include annual events such as Breakfast with the Easter Bunny, Lunch with Santa, Tree Lighting Ceremony, Thanksgiving Friendship and Midsummer at the Meadows, which is the highlight event of the year. Midsummer at the Meadows includes a free concerts by bands of national celebrity, and a grand finale fireworks show. Weekly events at our parks include Park Walkers and Reading Under the Tree. Monthly events include Senior Bridge and Board Games and Euchre club. The Recreation department sponsors over 70 events a year including Youth Summer Nature Camps, Dinosaur Day, Stargazing, Kindermusik, Self defense courses, Tot days, Zoo Wildlife, Teen dances, Fishing derbies, birding club, grilling classes, Safety day, Boo Bash and many more!
