Dinner for Eight

Dinner for Eight runs during the winter months.  Participants are asked to host one meal at their home for three other couples.  The host provides the main course and drinks.  Attendees bring appetizers, salad and desert.  Participants host only once.  The remainder of the time they are guests of another host couple.  Each month the mix of couples changes.  It is a great way to keep in touch with friends and to meet other couples in the neighborhood.

T.G.I.F.

T.G.I.F. Parties are held poolside, once a month, throughout the summer.  Everyone brings an hors d'oeuvre and an adult beverage to share (no glass containers please).  A great way to meet others if your new to the neighborhood.  Otherwise, it is simply a great opportunity to socialize.  Dates are published in the newsletter and on the website.  Distributed flyers and signs precede each event.

Bunco

A dice game, played with twelve or more players in groups of four, it's also known by the husbands as girls night out.  Everyone brings appetizers.  The hostess supplies drinks and desert. A great way to get out of the house once a month for fun, conversation, and a chance to win prizes.

Book Club

The Book Club meets once every two months to discuss the current book selection.  Members suggest books and the group makes its selection from the recommendations presented.  Great way to get yourself back on the road to reading.

Fishing

We have three lakes stocked with Bluegill, Catfish, and Largemouth Bass.  Fishing is strictly for Paxton Lake residents and guests only - Catch and Release.  The Bluegill stay close to the rocks and are an easy and fun fish for the kids.  The catfish are also fairly easy to catch and the larger ones have broken more than one line.  Our bass are hardest to catch, but like the catfish, are of respectable size and worth going after.
